I love the Japanese voices but some of the English ones can be good. (like late-series X vocal cast is pretty much spot-on) I didn't mind the english Battle Network cast but I'm just as happy with the Japanese seiyuu as well.
The bonus of the Japanese seiyuu cast is that they stay the same for the majority of the series (unless there's had to been a cast change due to the death of an actor, which is pretty much the only reason that these actors get recast) So you have a stable cast of characters who enjoy their roles and come back time and time again.
I'd say that's a pretty good way to go about things!
