Question for Marfisa's TCG Manager users?

This is kind of a weird newbie question but I wasn't sure where else I could ask this so... here goes!

I'm considering shifting my card post to a site and I want to use Marfisa's TCG Manager. I'm hosted by someone and I get 100MB of webspace, but Colors' cards zipfile is a mind-boggling 150 MB! ;; I know a number of you are using Marfisa's manager and are also hostees - if I'm not wrong, hostees generally get 100MB of webspace, right? - so how do you upload all the cards? Or does webspace have nothing to do with this?

I'm sorry, I'm really new to all this and I don't want to get into trouble with my host for using too much space or something. Any and all answers will be greatly appreciated!

Mm, 100mb is usually the limit of a database. The database is what holds the scripting stuff (the form etc). That said, if you have only 100mb of SPACE with your hostee then yes, there's not really a feasible way to do that, because as you have noted the cards take up more space than that (and those will sit in a directory accessible by FTP). And... not to burst your bubble, but the 150mb is actually SUPER-COMPACTED (I should know, as I was the one who created the zip) so it's actually something like 200+mb when unzipped, IIRC.

If you really need space I can host you on my server, it's no biggie.

Yikes, okay. There's really no way my computer can handle unzipping something so big, much less upload it to the directory. Thank you for explaining it to me!

Your offer is super tempting though. XD I'm tired of dealing with upload/copy/pasting every time I have to update my card post. If you really don't mind, I'd like to be your hostee please!

Sure, no problem. I just got home from work, and I'd need to set it up for you, though (and find FOOOOOD). Oh, and don't worry about keeping the release files up to date... I can do that.
