Hi everyone! It looks like we've hit 1000 tags for quite some time already. Last time we hit 1000 tags, I went through all the tags and deleted typos and consolidated tags, but it won't help too much this time since there aren't as many such tags that need to be combined this time, so we'd hit 1000 tags right away again.

So the question is, should we drop tagging by decks? We seem to have too many decks to do that.

Also, how useful do you find tagging by player? I find it useful myself when I'm looking for my own posts, but recently LJ has implemented a new feature where you can search for posts by user through the toolbar, so that makes it so that tagging by player is not completely necessary unless people prefer tags to searching through the toolbar.

Let me know your preferences and what you'd like to see for tags.

Meanwhile, I'm looking for 3 Cain cards for Pot of Gold if anyone can help me out! I have a big trading pile, and lots of crayons to spare too.

Card Post!

One thing would be good to change "new release slots" to just slots, since that's what everyone use anyways it seems.

But I do agree that tagging decks is a bit too much. I would prefer to keep the player tags however. Just gotten too used to it, and sometimes I also just edit the url to get to another player's posts. ^^

Oh, I was unclear. I should've said I was kind of referring to the sidebar with common tags we use for various matters:

Tag your posts with:

Player: Your Name
names of any decks you're looking for

Here are some other tags to consider:

new release slots - For coordinating slot exchanges for new decks
pot of gold - If you are looking for Pot of Gold cards
deck donations - for coordinating deck donations
crayons - for facilitating crayon trades
cool things - any player started, unofficial endeavors

I haven't use tags for decks recently - maybe I've used them the first time I joined when I wasn't collecting much....I don't check them either. I would mind if they were dropped, especially since we get new decks all the time.

I'd like to keep the player tags too. I find them useful when I want to double check for slots and such c:

Need one of these? I have one of these.
I'll be by with it later if you do indeed need it.

And I think we should do away with specific deck name tagging. I've never found a use for it. Player tags, however, are quite useful.

Awesome. You're the best, Lucathia. 8D

Agreed, I do tag my posts by deck but I'm kind of wondering if there's a purpose for it. >: I've never actually used them before a;lsdkjfae aside from tagging my own post.

.....so that translates to "we should probably do away with deck name tags" alsdkjfa

I only used the deck tags in the beginning to see who was searching for cards I could offer, but as you get more and more different trade decks it's too much to look people up like that. So yeah, I don't need them anymore either xD

Finally being able to create my player tag would be nice *laughs*

That's good to know!
Thanks a lot :D
