UNOFFICIAL spamming again

So I'm here again to ask you about the UNOFFICIAL achievement system :D

So, like I said before, I'd like to style the achievement system after Playstation network trophies, meaning that there would be Bronze, Silver and Gold achievements. I'd also like every task that award you an achievement to have three difficulty levels and because of that being in the Bronze, Silver or Gold group, like this:

BRONZE - master many decks!
SILVER - master MOAR decks!
GOLD - master MOARER decks!

I want you to help me with estimating the numbers, as in, going with the deck example - how many deck you think would be good for Bronze, how many for Silver and how many for the Gold achievements.

Here are some achievements I've thought of or that were suggested by [livejournal.com profile] barnaby

- master X decks
- master X decks of one color
- master X decks from one series
- complete X Portfolios
- trade in X crayons
- donate X cards to Asobot Initiative
- gift X cards to people
- answer X rounds of the same game in a row
- complete X Sketchpads

Please tell me what do you think :D I'm open to your suggestions~

Hmmm.. here are the first ideas that came to mind.

For the general deck mastering achievement:
Bronze: 10
Silver: 20
Gold: 30
That way it would be easy to remember and everything.

For the mastering decks of one color:
Bronze: 05
Silver: 10
Gold: 15
Since I imagine that will be a lot harder than mastering decks in general.

Master X decks from one series would be pretty difficult since some series only have one or two decks, so I really have no particular ideas for that one. D:

Complete X Portfolios:
Bronze: 3
Silver: 6
Gold: 9
You might want to specify monochrome, palette, or both portfolios with the achievement? I totally forgot to mention that when I suggested them I think.

I could keep thinking for the rest of the achievements if you'd like me to! Feel free to completely ignore my suggestions if you want, I'm not sure if they're too high, too low, or what XD

You should do a combo system of PS and Xbox because I thought of some pretty fail ones based on how Xbox has them. I'll list a few and if you like, I can come up with some more.

Just some basic ones:
Cain - Obtain 1 cain03 card.
Cain We Have Two - Obtain 10 cain03 cards.
Cain we have 03 - Obtain 20 cain03 cards. This isn't even a deck...
Why would you do that? - Master the same deck twice.
Lotto Blues - Purchase 5 tickets from the lotto and win NOTHING. /sob
Lotto Party - Purchase 5 tickets from the lotto and win something from each ones.

And then some player related ones:
U mad? - Successfully have Kuri tell you to GET OUT of the art shop for posting a huge, obnoxious request. ( Can't be spam! )
It's Always Skie's Fault - Blame Skie for something he probably didn't do. It's always his fault.
Release the Beast - Comment on a release post with your pickups before Gil does.
It's Raining Cats & Dogs - Make a comment about how Allmia loves animal decks way too much or that you thought of her when an animal deck is released.

I'd also recommend splitting them into categories? If you know how the Warcraft achievement system works then I'm thinking of something like that.

EDIT: If it helps, I'm thinking of a system like this one. It's simple but contains the numbering kind of thing.

What- But- OH GOD WHY
I do like these ideas, though

Are we even allowed to master a deck twice?

IT'S ALWAYS YOUR FAULT THOUGH ]:<

Well, no, but we can always master it once and then collect all 20 of it again. XD

Yeah, so like, you'd have them split something like...

Decks
- General
--- Would be where the general deck count, deck colors, etc achievements would go
- Series
--- Any series related counts like X number of decks from a series or X number of series you've mastered a deck from
- Portfolios
--- Anything portfolio related including counts for palette or monochrome, X number of decks in 1 month, etc
Trades
- General
--- Once, again, general trade counts, sketchpad turn ins, crayon turn ins, etc
- Gifting
--- X number of cards gited, X number of cards gifted to new players, etc.
- Asobot
--- X number of cards donated to Asobot or mastered a deck earned from Asobot
Games
- General
--- A general count on games answered correctly/prizes earned, answered a game wrong, etc.
- Lotto
--- Any lotto related achievements
- Pot of Gold
--- PoG achievements
Donations
- Image Donations
--- X number of decks donated, X number of decks added to Donation Drop-Off, etc
- Graphic Donations
--- X number of graphics donated
- Scrapbook
--- Donate an image to scrapbook, X number of images donated to scrapbook
Special
- Player
--- Player related achievements like the ones I suggested
- WHO PUT THIS HERE
--- Silly achievements with crappy puns would go here or stuff you'd actually have to be attempting to do. lol

That make sense at all? And I'd recommend using possibly mastery badge size, maybe? That way people can set up a post based on the categories in a separate post and add in the banner for the achievement when it's earned. Possibly link to the spot where the achievement was granted with the banner if they desired too?

Yay [Unofficial] Achievements!

For "Master X decks" I'd have:
BRONZE: 10 decks
SILVER: 30-40 decks
GOLD: 75-100 decks
and Extra: Master 5 special decks

The way I see it we want the gold fairly high but not impossible. Personally I'm already at 80+ decks mastered(yes I know I'm crazy). And I know a lot of the fruits people already have 30-60+ decks mastered.

For "Master X Portfolios" :
BRONZE: 5 portfolios
SILVER: 10 portfolios
GOLD: 20 portfolios

This would work for both or just Pallet portfolios since I know only one person has more than 10 pallet portfolios under their belt.

If you want to split the portfolios then for Monochrome I'd have:
BRONZE: 4 portfolios (half a rainbow)
SILVER: 8 portfolios (whole rainbow)
GOLD: 16 portfolios (double rainbow!! =P)

For individual series mastering I think that itself would need to be split up since, as gil pointed out, there are different number of decks for different series. There can be 2 categories for series mastering, maybe called Secondary(series with 5-10 decks) & Primary(series with 11+ decks) [the names are keeping with out colors theme, primary and secondary colors]

and the rankings for both an be like
BRONZE: 1/4 of the series(you can chose to round up or down for the required number)
SILVER: 1/2 of the series
GOLD: the entire series

How about some totally random ones like "own one/two/three cards starting with each letter of the alphabet"? Stuff that you'd never keep track of on your own but when you get the achievement you're surprised because you probably wouldn't have noticed that milestone otherwise.

[identity profile] perarduaadast.livejournal.com 2011-06-27 09:12 pm (UTC)(link)
By the way, Aru. 8D I still want to help make this happen.
Need a hand at all?

[identity profile] perarduaadast.livejournal.com 2011-06-27 09:57 pm (UTC)(link)
It depends. An idea that popped into my head would be that achievements that are attainable only once could work as either text or images. But achievements that could be attained multiple times could "stack" with eachother.

Ex: Imagine a normal Colors card. Place it on the top (ie: Cain01). Then stack all 20 other Cain cards beneath it and pull them down just enough pixels so that only their names are visible. So it would be a stack with the Cain01 image on top, but all 20 Cain card names/numbers beneath it.
...Similar to how I formerly handled my trade buddies: Like this (http://i836.photobucket.com/albums/zz281/SkieTCG/MidnightCrew.gif).

For the achievements, there could be an initial image banner for the first achievement, and then the rest could "stack" beneath that with the additional achievements as text.

If that makes sense? That's just my little idea.

[identity profile] perarduaadast.livejournal.com 2011-06-27 10:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Yep, like those! The rest wouldn't be stackable.

Unless you'd prefer no images? If we do images, though: I could help out with the graphical side of things; though we'd need to work out how we want them to look so I don't make anything super truly silly looking. =P

Here's some I came up with just now. I hope they're not too outlandish, but I'm looking for some that'll have more challenge/bite to them to aspire for. xD

Bring All the Wolves to the Yard
-Successfully have all members of the Colors Pack trade with you for the new month release. (Inspired by Tress; the "Colors Pack" means anyone with a wolf-related username/player name at any given time - this will vary~)

Crayon Fever
-Turn in 20 crayons of the same color at once to master a single deck.

Rainbows are My Favorite
-Turn in at least 3 of each color crayon together. (Yes, that's 24 crayons. >:3)

FIRST!
-Earn at least 50 First Masteries. (Oh, God. This will be crazy.)

Die-hard Shipper
-Be First Master for both decks of a pairing you ship. (OFC this one will vary.)

Power Leveler
-Turn in at least 3 levels at once.

Lotto Jackpot I
-Receive the Grand Prize for lottery for the month.

Lotto Jackpot II
-In a month where there is more than one Grand Prize, win them all!

I'm Actually a Leprechaun
-Successfully complete all tasks in Pot of Gold for 3 successive months.

Chaining Fiend
-Chain mastery of at least 5 decks at once.

Chaining Maniac
-Chain mastery at least 10 decks at once.

Chaining Guru
-Chain mastery at least 15 decks at once. (Pretty sure no one's done this yet. xD)

Trading Fiend
-Trade at least 20 times each day for 3 days in a row. (Sounds hard, right? But if you open up your tradepile to be a card pot with certain rules...)

Trading Maniac
-Trade at least 20 times each day for 5 days in a row.

Trading Guru
-Trade at least 20 times each day for 7 days in a row.

Sketchpad Donation Fiend
-Donate 3 full sets of sketchpad graphics. (You can submit them in parts per the rules; so you can do two sets of 4 if you want each month, but total for the month must be 8 in order to count toward a "full set" for this achievement.)

Sketchpad Donation Maniac
-Donate 6 full sets of sketchpad graphics. (I think these same numbers would be good to award for Level Banner donations as well.)

Sketchpad Donation Guru
-Donate 10 full sets of sketchpad graphics.

Look Ma, I'm an Artist!
-Turn in both a Palette and Monochrome portfolio at the same time. (Requirement: both porfolios must have at least one deck which is being mastered in that same submission - in other words, no holding on to a portfolio you've already mastered all the decks and gotten choice cards for already.)

[identity profile] wolfie.livejournal.com 2011-07-02 01:39 am (UTC)(link)
And some mastery-based ones, since I couldn't fit them all in one comment...

Snip, Snails, and Puppy-dog Tails
-Master 30 decks featuring male characters.

Sugar, Spice, and Everything Nice
-Master 30 decks featuring female characters.

Zoologist
-Master 20 decks featuring non-humanoid, animal characters. (Requirement: More than 15 cards of the deck must feature them in a non-humanoid form.)

You Gotta Love Them
-Master at least 3 pairs of characters who are siblings. (Requirement: the siblings cannot be used more than once to apply to individual pairs. These siblings can be by blood or adoption.)

I Wanna Be a Magical Girl
-Master 15 females who are considered Magical Girls.

I AM a Magical Girl!
-Master 35 females who are considered Magical Girls.

It's Furry and Knows How to Help
-Master 10 magical girl "mascot" characters. (Requirement: the mascot performs some measure of guidance, such as Kyuubei from Madoka or Luna from Sailor Moon.)

All You Need is a Little Elbow Grease
-Master 20 mecha pilots/mecha suit operators/machinists.

Should've Given Unit 01 to Me
-Master 50 mecha pilots/mecha suit operators/machinists.

Don't You Have an Automatic I Can Use?
-Master 10 decks of characters who are proficient with guns.

It Even Makes Julian Fries!
-Master 10 decks of characters who are proficient with blades. (This can include knives, swords.)

I Prefer Stick Shift
-Master 10 decks of characters who are proficient with driving a land vehicle/device. (This can include cars, motorcycles, tanks. No mecha/suits, please.)

Obviously They Were a Dolphin in Their Past Life
-Master 10 decks of characters who are proficient with operating a water-based vehicle/device. (This can include boats, submarines, seadoos, extreme surfboarding(?). No mecha/suits, please.)

10k Altitude and Counting
-Master 10 decks of characters who are proficient with operating an air-based vehicle/device. (This can include airplanes, jets, striker unit. No mecha/suits, please.)

All According to Keikaku
-Master 5 decks of characters from series for which there are no official English language outlets. (Requirement: The series in question cannot be licensed in any country for English language at the time of submission for achievement; in other words, you'd need to have watched this in fansub/fan-translated format. This will be harder to check for, but shouldn't be too bad with some Wikipedia-fu and anyway... who wouldn't want this title? XD)
