[Colors RPG] It's here! It's finally here!
Yes! It's here! After two months of hard work, we have completed the game you all have been waiting for, the game that will change the future of gaming for centuries, the Colors RPG!
In this epic adventure, you take control of an awesome party of brave heroes and noble heroines: Aru, Raven, Sylwia and Skie, and guide them through dangerous dungeons and monster-infested caves in their quest to stop the terrible evil that is threatening the very existance of the Colors Land.
Okay, here's what you need to know before you play.
Technical information:
The game was created with RPG Maker 2003,which all of you can download from here. You should, because installing it may be neccessary to launch the game. Update: It's now on Steam. But don't try to open it with the editor, you'll spoil yourself the fun :P. To start the game, just use RPG_RT.exe. No installation of the game itself is needed. Please don't modify the file resources that the game uses, it may make it impossible to play.
Gameplay hints:
Having played the RPG Maker games several times, I may have more experience than some of you. I tried not to make the game too challenging for a beginner, but the following hints may come in handy.
1. Always buy new armor and crayons in the shops. Sell the old stuff if needed. If you don't have enough money, it may mean that you have to fight some random monsters.
2. Also spend the remaining money on common items. You should always (except the begining) have at least 15-20 Potions, Phoenix Downs and status removing items. Later Ether also become a must.
3. Multi-target attacks are the king. As soon as you get them, spam them in random encounters. That will make them far less annoying. Recover your MP with Ethers/Turbo Ethers.
4. Make sure that you are healthy after every battle, unless you want to be pwned immediately in the next one.
5. Don't worry about status effects in random battles too much, they are removed after you win. Remember to ressurrect everyone though, or they will not receive EXP.
6. If you don't want to hurry during battles, change the mode from Active to Wait in the menu.
7. Always check what bosses left after the battle. Later in the game they leave some powerful weapons.
8. Hastega is a real gamebreaker. It's useless in random battles, but it pwns bosses. As soon as you get it, start every boss battle putting Haste on everyone. Some bosses will try to remove this effect. Meanies!
9. Be sure to reach the maximum level of experience (25) before challenging the final boss. All the characters learn they ultimate techniques at this level (including Sylwia's Adolescence Rush, which combines strongest multi-target healing, Hastega AND boosts defence)
10. Use equipable decks to give useful bonuses to your characters. The best one is of course Perfection, which halves magic cost.
11. You may encounter a 'division by zero error' which closes the game. This one is a bitch. However, it seems like it's completely random.
12. It took me over 7 hours to finish the game, and one more for Aru. Just so you know.
13. There is a secret code at the end of the game, send it to us to prove you have beaten the game.
14. You can go between full-screen and windowed mode by simply pressing F4.

Here is our Pokedex, a list of all the bosses, their levels and HP. Of course, we won't spoil their names. Just the places they are in (the names of the locations won't spoil you much).

I've played until I died to the second boss... (Took me almost two hours to get there. :3) I look forward to playing this game some more tomorrow.
